Even ​though I was born in a big city, I am a ​sensitive person, always dreaming of life ​surrounded by nature and animals. The ​name for my slow fashion brand MA- MAN- ​is a play on my initials, and it is a nod to my ​favorite artwork Maman by Louise ​Bourgeois. To me, her work symbolizes the ​fine line between beauty and fear. My ​hypervigilance comes with dark thoughts, ​but it enables me to feel more pleasure ​from the smaller elements in life. Each ​piece I create is born from a meditative ​process of taking care—carefully selecting ​discarded materials, envisioning their ​potential, and bringing them back to life ​through careful craftsmanship.
